As a part of PGDM curriculum, the students of Batch 2017-19, presented their colloquium 3 of Dissertation. At this stage of their study they presented their questionnaire and a pilot study by collecting 20-30 responses of their research analysis. The progress were assessed by panel of faculty members. The panel gave their feedback for improvement wherever needed. The final presentation will be in March. The presentation was coordinated by Dr. Vinod Sharma

An intensive Advanced Excel session was conducted by Mr. Sasi Kumar from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore on 7th and 8th of January 2019.
It was an interactive and interesting session in which students have learned about various functions, shortcuts and advanced processes in excel. His way of teaching the tools and techniques of advanced excel was student centric and special attention was given individually. The programme helped students to improve the presentation skills through excel (Pivot Table) and it will act as an added advantage to the future trimester.

After successful completion of Trimester 2, the students of PGDM 2018-20, were introduced to trimester 3. Before commencing formal classes, an orientation program was organized to give them an overview of the trimester. The program started by lighting of the lamp by the Dignitaries, Faculty members and students. An inspiring and motivational speech was given by Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph about eminent personalities who have worked hard to achieve greater heights in their life. The Academic Coordinator talked about new academic changes for third trimester students by introducing specialization for the first time in third trimester. A brief introduction about the
specialization was given by HOD's of Finance, Marketing and HR department which assisted student in picking up their specialization and the program was followed up by a mentoring session by faculty heads

Christ Institute of Management, Ghaziabad celebrated its

Founder's Day on 3rd January 2019 in Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest Rev. Mother Grace Katteth, Executive Vice Chairman Rev Fr. Sunny Joseph, Director Dr. Saju K James, Faculty, Staff Members, and all the students were present to pay the tribute to our founder- St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Rev.Mother Grace Katteth Spoke on the life of St. Chavara. His efforts in providing a platform for God experience, education for all, women empowerment, uplift of dalits & the poor and extending concern for the sick and the dying were the fruits of his dialogue with the society. A video was also shown depicting the life of our founder. Everyone present there paid a floral tribute to St. Chavara.

CIM hosted its 1st Alumni Meet. Rev Fr. Dr. Mathew Chandrakunnel Prof. of Philosophy of Science from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore was the Chief Guest and Dr. Ashok Singh, former Professor at CIM was the special invited guest on this day. The Alumni of PGDM Batch 2014-16, 2015-17, 2016-18 were invited to the meet. The event began by invoking upon gods blessings by lighting the flame of faith followed by welcome speech of Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph and extended welcome by Director Prof. (Dr.) Saju K
James. The Alumni's of each batches shared their memories and experiences. Some of them became emotional while sharing the memories and they also gave success mantra to current batch students.
The event proceeded towards dance & singing performances by our students and our Alumni's respectively which then was followed by a brief talk on CSA activities done by CIM.The memento was presented all the alumni and Abhinav Pratap Singh was appointed as the President of Alumni Association, Steffy Anna Stephen as the Vice President, Gyanvi Singh as the Secretary of Alumni Association and The event ended with the band performance by "The TATVA", followed by grand dinner. The Centre for Social Action (CSA) at CIM, Ghaziabad organized,

an awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse under Slum Community Development Project    in two slum communities namely Bombay Colony and Reth Mandi in Ghaziabad city in Uttar Pradesh. The speakers for the programme were Mrs. Tara, NGO- Mahila Baal Chetna Samiti, Community Health Worker and Ms.Pooja Nagar, Staff Nurse, Community Health Centre. Through this awareness campaign, the participants were made aware about the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse and to bring visible solutions also encouraged them to openly discuss their problems.

Ms. Shivani Jain, from Invest India conducted a Seminar And Workshop for the PGDM batch 2017-19 on future of startups in India. The session highlighted various financing schemes and options for the growth of startups which will encourage more startups to emerge. The session continued on social entrepreneurship and recent development in the era. Invest India also provides the opportunities to nurture the ideas and take them forward. The lecture was conducted by CA Sarika Jain

Talk On Ringlerr

Mr Vishal Ashok Chandra, Founder & CEO at Ringlerr delivered a talk to the students of batch 2017-19 and introduced an upcoming mobile communication product Ringlerr. He accentuated on revolutionizing the way how people receive & make calls by offering a unique tech solution through the App. He emphasized on why people refrain from answering unknown calls and the way Ringlerr team has brought solution to this problem through this App. The session was very enlightening to the students as it grabbed the attention on optimizing the daily communication by making an intent based calling so that the receiver gets to know the purpose of the call with a note.

HR        Analytics

On 16th Jan 2019, Dr. Ramakrishna, AVP United Health Group graced CIM Ghaziabad by his presence and interacted with the 2nd year students. On this occasion, he carried out an interactive consultation with the students on HR Analytics. He talked about the importance of analytics in real-time industry scenario. The session proceeded with the discussion on different tools used in industries for the ease of analytical assignments, as well as he helped the students by sharing some case studies related to market research. Students gained knowledge about how Descriptive Analytics can be used as the most primitive type of business analytics technique. He also emphasized on the career opportunities related to analytics and research. He ensured that he will share some of the case study related to the industry perspective.The lecture was organized by Dr. Akhilesh Tiwari

Start-up India

Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta an Electronics Instrumentation Engineer, Software Professional and eminent Author took a session on entrepreneurship and Start Up for the students of Batch 2017-19. He  is best known as 10X Growth Guru for providing 10X growth to start- up, small entrepreneur and mid-size companies. In his session he talked about the importance of entrepreneurship and the growth opportunities for future entrepreneurs. He encouraged students to go for start ups which may help them to succeed in their professional journey.
